20220501 - Pizza Party

20220501 - L up early and went to church. I got some things ordered from the grad party list and then G wanted to go to Trent's so he drove over. I headed back to the house and headed up to the boys bathroom to clean it up and re-caulk it. It turned in to a much bigger project than I anticipated and took FOREVER. L was outside with Hazel edging flow beds and pulling weeds and cleaning things up outside, looks great! I headed down and started working on the grape arbor, not a lot, just pulling the vines that went up in to the trees down. I ran to get G and we then stopped and picked up some pizzas. D&DGF13, J&JGF6 were there when we got back and we had a nice dinner on the patio. The boys threw the ball a bit and the girls discussed prom. It was a nice evening. Everyone headed out and L&I cleaned things up and watched American Idol while I did some Booster stuff.

20220401 - L's 51

20220401 - Up in the am and L was out to bfast with her friend Theresa.  I couldn’t smell or taste my toothpaste this morning... J up late and decided today, the last day of his Spring Break that he would take everything out of his room and do a proper cleaning... I took a covid test and it was negative, at the desk all day and made plans with DJ and their girlfriends to have dinner hereat the house because L being still a bit sick didn't feel like going anywhere. I finished up the day and L&I ran up to Olive Garden to pick up a feast. Home and DJ and their girls showed up and we sat down and hid a nice dinner. After dinner we all headed to the basement and watched J&JGF6 play a funny little team game on the Xbox and L and DGF13 worked on a puzzle L started at Christmas. It was a very enjoyable evening.

20220207 - 1st Bucket!

20220207 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. Hazel and I up and working from the living room this morning. I headed in to the office and settled in for the day. L&J home after half a day. L took Hazel in a big walk and I got a break later and took her on a short walk. L cooked a big dinner as J and JGF6 were to join us for dinner but that didn’t work… so L&I ate and then D and DGF13 stopped by and hung out. We chatted and made fun of people on the Bachelor. D ran and picked up G from baseball for us. When the show ended they heard out back and hung the first maple sap bucket! J home late. To bed in good time, did some reading.

20220123 - Balls & Pucks

20220123 - Up in the am late am and L ran to get G and his friend. They came home for a minute and then we headed to G's basketball game. They were playing another team of all Gahanna kids that were sophomores and it was a hoot. It was a good game and G's team won with bragging rights. We headed home and dropped his friend off on the way. After a bit L&I headed out to shovel some of the snow that's coming down and took Hazel on a long walk. Back home and warmed up watching some good football. After a bit I headed out and picked up D and we went to a Blue Jackets hockey game. We had great seats and had a beer and some pizza and watched a good game and chit chatted the whole time. I dropped D off after the game and headed home. Home and got ready for a busy week.

20211225 + Christmas

20211225 + Up in the am got showered and had on of the cinnamon rolls L made all before the boys got up. This is way different than years past... L got the boys up and we gathered to open presents. We took turns and even Hazel used her paws and opened her presents carefully removing the paper and retrieving her toys. The boys got things they needed and liked, L got a new phone and I got 4 OSU hats. After the openings D&G worked on their Legos and J went upstairs and put his new bed together, L got the house ready for guests. Lonie showed up and then Gma&paW, JGF? and the Coles. We had a nice lunch and then headed to the basement to open some more gifts and play a game that had everyone laughing. Out guests left and we cleaned up a bit. J headed to JGF?'s, G up to the Xbox and LD&I watched the new Matrix in the basement. Praise God for such a very nice day.

20211216 - More Phishing

20211216 - Up in the am and LJG and Gma&paB all to school. I got up and jumped on a pretty frustrating morning call. Locked to the PC fighting a phishing attack until about 2 when Hazel and I took a walk. Back to the desk to finish out the day. D and DGF13 stopped over, they were Christmas shopping at Easton. We ordered pizzas and they went to pick them up for us. We had dinner together and watched some TV and the kids took off. L&I watched TV the rest of the night.

20211127 - D in the Big House

20211127 - Up in the am and got a couple things done on the PC while L made some goodies to take to the party and snack trays for G, Trent and Luke that are watching the OSU game here. L&I headed out and got to the Pettit’s just in time for kickoff. D was at the game in Ann Arbor and we were nervous for him. We settled in to watch the game and catch up with folks. It was not a good game and the Buckeyes lost… home and G’s buddies headed out and G headed up and L&I headed to the basement to watch more football for the rest of the evening. We called GmaW to wish her a happy bday. 

20211125 + Thanksgiving

20211125 + Up early and L, Hazel and I headed out. We swung by the mailbox to see if some stuff I shipped was stuck in the chute, it wasn’t. We swung through McDs and headed to the Farm. It was an easy drive up and we got there in good time. L helped GmaW get things set up and I took Hazel up to Gma&paW’s. The boys showed up and I headed down and more and more folks showed up. It was nice to be back in the old Farmhouse with all the family after missing last year with the lockdown. It was nice to catch-up with folks. Roger prayed and we we had a very nice meal.

After our food settled a bit I went up and got Hazel and a group of us headed to the Falls.  We walked all the way up and L&I’s first house was gone, so was Oneida lodge, but my bridges still are there. The trail down to the falls is in really bad shape and treacherous. We went down to the falls and then back up, not out and around to the pines as the trail was not passable. We made our way back to the Farmhouse and hung out some more. LD&G worked on crafts, J vanished to Gma&paW’s while we were on out falls walk. We caught up some more and folks started heading out. D stayed to help clean up and Them he headed out. He is driving to Ann Arbor MI for the OSU game tomorrow… We got some things cleaned up and headed up. JG&I played some euchre with GmaW and then J headed back to the bedroom. G&I stayed up and played 3 way solitaire with GmaW, a new game for G. Everyone to bed and G&I stayed up with Gpaw showing him how to use the TV and review his health. J up late having a rough night.

20211030 - D @ Game

20211030 - Up in the am and helped L with a couple things around the house. Then Hazel and I headed out. We went to an auction pickup and got some stuff and then swung past the accountants office to drop off a payment and then a quick stop at the dog park before heading home. I Got some tools gathered up and headed over to Penn's to work on some wiring stuff he needs done. We wrapped stuff up and I got home before the OSU game. L ran G to a Halloween party and then we settled in and watched the game. D was at the game and set us pictures. It was a good game and the Buckeyes won. Not up too late.

20211023 - OSU Party!

20211023 - Up in the am and taking our time getting things ready for tonight's party. L ran G to the school to catch the bus to go run in the cross country District Championships and then back home for a bit before headed out to watch him run. G ran in the 'open' race, not the actual championship due to his hip injury he's been working on. I moved, things, set things up and got things around. J came home and helped with some stuff and then took off. D showed up and he hung out and helped with all the final details. We got the chili cooking and Gma&paW showed up and D helped carry in a bunch of stuff. We then got the hot dogs cooking and nacho chees fired up. L home and drinks out, TVs on, we are ready. Soon folks started showing up and we had a good time at our annual OSU Football Party. A nice crowd, not to big due to COVID concerns. Good to visit and catch up with folks.

20211017 - Singing Portrait

20211017 - Up in the am, L had made cinnamon roles for the boys and gave them one as they slugged down the steps and put the door. All of G’s buddies gone and G&I headed to Olentangy Berlin HS for his baseball practice. I hung out and got some things done and took a walk while practice was going on. L&J got the ladder out and trimmed the ivy on the side of the house. G said there were only 6 kids there and they looked ok. We raced home, I dropped G off at the house and headed straight to the HS. I got in and found L, Nicole, GmaW and Gma&paB and we settled in for the choir concert. The concert was good and sad to think this is one of the last times we'll go to watch J do this. They did really good and it was very enjoyable. After the concert we headed back to the house and D&G had replaced one of the flood lights on the back of the house while we were at the concert. GpaW was there and he looked and acted MUCH better than the last time we saw him. G opened his bday presents and then we went out for a nice dinner. Home and relaxed a bit. Chris over to watch the Walking Dead. I stayed up with G and watched baseball.

20211015 - Dinner and Ducks

20211015 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. I got on calls and the day is flying by. D came over to get some dress clothes and stayed for dinner. LDG&I headed to El Vaquero and had a nice meal. D drove and he ran us to Home Depot after dinner to get a couple things. Home and D took off and my Oregon Ducks were playing football so I settled in and got a bunch of work emails done while watching the game. To bed LATE. 

20211013 - Fast Game

20211013 - Up in the am and L at school and J at a friend's and G sleeping, no school again...??? I got to the desk and started calls, D was on one and we spent a bunch of time going through records with him. L home and got G up and looked for J. I had a new hot project dropped on me today... Finished up my day and then came out for a bite to eat and to throw the Ball to Hazel a bit. Hazel and I then ran to the gas station. Home and I worked on the washing machine with G. L Hazel and I then headed to D's softball game at Berliner. His games move fast as they only get 1 pitch. It was a good game, D got a triple w/ 3 RBIs that kept the guys in the game but they lost by one. Home and I was up very late working on the new project that was dropped on me today.

20211010 - DGF12

20211010 - Up in the am and L&G in Olentangy for his first baseball practice with the new coach. No idea where J is. I got up and got bills paid for the next couple weeks and got ebay stuff shipped. D and DGF12 showed up. We had never met DGF12 before so it was a treat. L grilled her with all the usual questions and I had a couple, poor girl. She seems very nice. Today is Hazel's bday so D, DGF12 and I took her to the dog park to socialize a bit and then got her a small frosty on the way home. Home and we grilled brats and burgers for dinner. We all sat outside and had a nice meal, chatting and watching football, J&G here too. D&DGF12 headed out and I settled down in front of a TV to watch some football and dig in to my emails to be better prepared for the week. J headed out, G headed upstairs and L is now questioning her green paint choice in the bathroom... I was up late and got a call from J at 1am that he had locked his keys in the car. Hazel and I drove to his rescue and then headed to bed.

20210924 - Sunset Supplies

20210924 - Up and worked. D stopped by, got groceries with G, took him to apt to see it and back home. D drove LG&I to 5 Guys for dinner and then Home Depot to get supplies for the bathroom. Home and L&I finished installing tile around the shower and window. Up until 5:30 am building an app for work...

20210914 - Champs

20210914 - Up in the am and everyone at school. I worked all day and got lots of things done but still very far behind. L has had a couple days of school now and comes home with stories of all the new kids and crazy things that happened throughout her day. I was pretty wiped out so didn't do much for the evening. I helped L in the bathroom trim some drywall and get ready for the next steps. D had a championship game tonight that they won!

20210913 - Pinkish

20210913 - Up in the am and everyone at school. I got to the desk and that was it for the day... I didn't take laptop with me to Las Vegas and today the 700+ emails that came in over the last 4 days kept me busy. Add the calls coming in and I was lucky to get anything done... J home,  L home, and L ran to get G. I came out for dinner and LG&I ate, J took off to be with friends and apply for new jobs. We ate and talked to Lonie about buying a house and then ran downtown to see D's new apartment. Home and watched some football.

20210828 + Double Bday

20210828 + Up and paid bills for the next two weeks. Headed out and reattached the flashing under the boys bathroom dormer and then got a coat of aluminum fiber paint on it. Got the ladders cleaned up and put away and then got myself cleaned up. D and his buddy's showed up and hung out in the backyard while I cooked some brats and burgers. The Cole's showed up, today is Lena's 12th bday, and Gma&paB. We had a nice lunch and hung out and chatted a bit enjoying the day. In the evening L&I ran to our fist movie in a year and a half, since COVID hit, and saw the Jungle Cruise. It was great and nice to go to the theater.

20210826 - D is 22

20210826 - Up in the am and straight to the desk. I took Hazel on a walk after work while L cooked dinner. Home and ate and D stopped by for his bday. We chatted and gave him some presents and he took off. J home from work, he got to see D a bit and then headed to his girlfriends. I put the last coat of mud on the bathroom ceiling and then watched the rest of the Queen movie with L. Hard to believe D is 22.

20210804 - Dinner and Diving

20210804 - Up in the am and J at work and G at XC, L ran G’s knee braces to him. I got to the desk and started a task that was going to take all day. G home from XC and made his qualifying time to make the team. GmaB showed up and Nicole, Lena and Sam. They all headed out shopping for back to school stuff. Everyone home and I finally got out of the office. D came over and DJL and GmaB headed out for dinner and G&I headed to a XC pool/parent meeting event.
